Rules

Rules of Montes Ferrei race:

  • The event is for single track vehicles powered by human power and runners. Preferably MTB bikes.
  • The route is not marked in any way in the terrain, approx. 7 days before the start, each participant will receive the route in gpx format to save in navigation/mobile phone.
  • The event runs non-stop and it depends only on the participant when and for how long they interrupt the event for refreshments or rest.
  • The participant may not accept targeted support, i.e. they must seek any help themself (procuring food and drink, solving technical problems with the bike, etc.)
  • The participant must follow the route exactly according to the route provided by the organizer (gpx format). Breaks and similar obstacles are a reason to leave the route briefly.
  • There is a mass start at the specified time and hour. The starting point according to the propositions, the destination behind the Rychtář brewery in Hlinsko.
  • Following after race(10 days) send via email control photos from route.
  • Based on achieved times and route control a finish list will be made.
  • In case of early end, the participant will send an information SMS to the organizer about withdrawing from the event.
  • In the event of early end of the event, the participant arranges transportation to the final destination himself
  • In case of leaving the route (refreshments, rest), it is necessary to return to the place where the route was left and then continue from there
  • Ride in group is allowed, but only with other event participants
  • You can use any commercial accommodation or sleep in nature for a possible overnight stay
  • Minimum mandatory equipment: bicycle helmet, GPS device and/or mobile phone capable of navigation and route recording, front light or headlamp with spare batteries, rear red light.
  • Recommended equipment: sufficient supplies of food and drink (can also be bought on the way), spare/additional clothes, map (purchased, printed from the Internet), power bank, or bikepacking equipment (sleeping bag, mat...)
  • Participants who do not follow the set route will be listed out of order in the finish list
  • Participants who exceed the set time limit will be listed out of order in the finish list - the organizer can grant an exception
  • The event is held at one's own risk and responsibility, the participant is obliged to follow the rules of road traffic in places where the event is on public roads.
  • The participant is obliged to behave politely and sensitively towards nature and other participants
  • The event is intended only for people over 18 years old, younger people between the ages of 15-18 accompanied by an adult.
  • Violation of the rules will be sanctioned by being placed outside the final list (i.e. DNF)

By participating in the event and paying the fee, the participant agrees to the above rules!
